Joshua Creek Heritage Art Centre is thrilled to invite all JCHAC members to submit artwork for our upcoming “Friends of Joshua Creek Exhibition”! This special event is a heartfelt thank you for your incredible support, which has helped make Joshua Creek a vibrant creative space. We can’t wait to see the amazing art you’ll contribute to this celebration of our community. Whether you paint, sculpt, photograph, or create in other ways, this exhibition is for you. OPEN CALL: STUDENT FILM SCREENINGS
Joshua Creek Heritage Art Centre is seeking student and independent filmmakers in the community to screen their work at ongoing indie film screening events.
JCHAC has a history and mission that revolves around celebrating the arts and integrating the community. While our main focus has been in visual arts, we are looking to expand and highlight some of the excellent work of artists who use film as their mode of communication.
Staff members at JCHAC will review submissions, and selected films will be shown in the gallery at ticketed events. JCHAC will promote film screenings through flyers, social media, and our site, but selected filmmakers are encouraged to promote externally.
Ongoing Activities
Plen Air Painting
JCHAC is an artist’s haven with so much to see, to feel, draw and paint:. It has a 20,000 year-old valley, ancient trees, gardens, lawns, an orchard, vistas, and Ethel the Scare Crow guarding her community gardens.
Walking the 1 .4 k Chartres Cathedral labyrinth is to experience peace in a meadow perfumed by wildflowers.
A place of inspiration to feed your Artist Self.
Sensory Art Classes for Adults
This is a great opportunity to expand your social group, and to participate in an activity that benefits your mental health and allows you to decompress from the rush of the day to day. Come with us to look inward and meet your inner artist!
