Summer is upon us and the light is growing longer and stronger.
The days are warm and the weather is sweet. Summer days are a time to come together, connect, share and celebrate life in its magnificence.
Long Light MINI FESTIVAL is a day of music, dance, ceremony, community, food and art leading up to the longest day of the year, the day of long light, the summer solstice.
You are invited and welcomed to join local and global visionary artists, sonic alchemists, ceremonialists and weavers of melody and song.
Our line up includes:
Chris Assad, Darren Austin Hall, Margo Free & Luc Dupuis, Mapstone, Iselin Amanda Stoylen & White Eagle.
We are coming together for an afternoon and evening of Medicine music, ecstatic dance, fireside songs, cacao ceremony, traditional opening and prayer and sound bath.
Delicious and nourishing food and elixirs, market stalls and more, all hosted and held at the beautiful and historic, Joshua Creek Heritage Art Centre.
What to Expect
This is a gathering for the heart, body, mind and spirit. A coming together of tribe and community to celebrate and co~create in a conscious, uplifting and inspiring way.
To celebrate all that we have to be grateful for and to honour ourselves and each other, during the long light days of summer. This event is priced for a community vibe.

About Your Hosts
Margo Free is a sound healing facilitator, vocal channeller, medicine music producer, and certified energy healing facilitator specializing in healing with sound frequency and movement. Margo Free uses instruments that are perfectly tuned at 432Hz allowing for resonance within your body to release emotional blockages, and expand consciousness. Her channeled vocals open your hearts centre to connect deeply with yourself. Combined with crystal bowls, rav vast, native flutes and drum, Margo provides a sound experience that will leave you feeling expansive and at peace within.
Chris Mapstone A song carrier, a musical mystic, a weaver of melody and rhythm. Chris has spent a decade travelling in multi dimensional musical realms. He has shared his heart and music around the world at festivals, events, retreats, teepee’s, fires and ceremonies. His music continues to grow and flourish as he follows the music and the muse to where it is needed. Having shared stages and space with other visionary artists such as Murray Kyle, Darpan, and Lulu and Mischka. Chris’s musical path is one of healing and service; It is a deep dive into the mystery, wrapped in a warm blanket of love and grace.
Combining Voice, Yidaki (didgeridoo), Percussion, Guitar and Flutes, Mapstone weaves an uplifting and enchanting sound. The lyrics and music are transformational; connecting the body and spirit in a multi dimensional sonic journey of the heart; for the heart and from the heart.
Through the support of our local partners and board members JCHAC offers a variety of workshops and events that will help members explore the opportunities social prescribing and healing through art has to offer.
