Mayur Patel has generously offered his services providing our community with Free or by donation guided meditation classes, Wednesdays 6:30pm-7:30pm
Meditation is the practice of focusing the mind to remove stress, minimize depression, improve sleep, and increase brain function.
Professor Mark Williams, former director of the Oxford Mindfulness Centre, says that meditation means knowing directly what is going on inside and outside ourselves, moment by moment.
“It’s easy to stop noticing the world around us. It’s also easy to lose touch with the way our bodies are feeling and to end up moving in our heads, caught up in our thoughts without stopping to notice how those thoughts are driving our emotions and behaviour”
A lifelong practitioner of meditation and mindfulness, Mayur Patel’s desire to see a community living to its fullest is his gift to us.
