Introduction to Watercolour Printmaking
Wednesdays | 9:30AM - 12:00PM
In these introductory classes, our instructors will share the basics of this method developed at JCHAC.
The process involves painting watercolour onto gummed plastic sheets. Next, we press the painted plates onto soaked watercolour paper using our large press.
It’s a method of exploration and curiosity, as not one print is alike. Each week, there is a new lesson for newcomers to spark creativity and play using this method.
In addition, we do some light sketching to develop your artist within by training our eyes to see as well as help you develop your own artistic voice.
All materials included. Please be sure to bring a sketchbook with you. Sketchbooks are available for purchase.
