Why I love doing art, May 2021

When I create my art, I don’t have a plan.
Getting lost in my work is a welcome opportunity
to gain freedom from the usual routine.
I feel joy when something begins to materialize on the canvas.
I am energized by colour.
I am transported, blessed to escape into another world
where time seems to stop.
