When you look at the extraordinary doll sculptures of Chris Kummer, you immediately want one. She goes far beyond the human form with colour, intricate texture, and expressive faces. Her people are pieced, wrapped and stitched until each one finds a voice. They are playful, whimsical, sad and even funny.
Chris’ background is in sculpture and anthropology, and she has taught many classes in creativity, sculpting, and mask making.
An Opening Reception will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2011
