Doors Open Oakville – September 24 & 25, 2011, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Doors Open Oakville returns as local historical buildings, heritage sites and cultural organizations open their doors free-of-charge.

 

Each year, Doors Open Ontario opens the doors to hundreds of fascinating heritage sites, including commercial buildings, courthouses, theatres, museums, places of worship, gardens and natural heritage sites.

Joshua Creek will be featuring the Appleby College Centennial Exhibition of Alumni Art during the Doors Open Event. so come out and learn about our emerging cultural centre that promotes local heritage, outreach and accessibility, with ecological integrity being central to the activities of the Centre.

This once-a-year event has provided a means for communities to rediscover and re-evaluate their heritage. This event has been highly successful in boosting civic pride, generating awareness of local heritage, increasing tourism and stimulating local economies.
