Appleby College, Canada’s leading independent school, is proud to showcase the breadth of creativity and talent of our alumni artists, with the Centennial Exhibition of Alumni Art at Joshua Creek Heritage Art Centre. The exhibition features the work of 21 alumni and art teachers and range from painting, sculpture, print, film, and new media. The is one of many events taking place during the 2011/2012 school year to commemorate Appleby’s centennial.
Joshua Creek Heritage Art Centre is honored to be participating in the 100th Anniversary of Appleby College. It is an interesting fact that three generations of Sybil Rampens’ family attended Appleby. Her uncle, Lieutenant Osbert Calverley, was a student from 1912-1916. He joined the Royal Flying Corps in WW1 and was killed in a flying accident in 1918. Her three brothers attended the school during WW2, and her two sons more recently.
